Bodyline Shoe Review

I’ve had a pretty comical experience in trying to order my Bodyline shoes in the right size, but I finally got it right this time!

Before you order shoes from Bodyline I really recommend that you check multiple sources and measure your feet accurately. It will save you a lot of money! For reference, I’m usually a size 9 in US shoe size but can wear a 9 ½ comfortably and the 255’s fit me perfectly while the 260 are almost too big.

I ordered Bodyline’s SHOES296 in brown ($30 using the yen trick) and SHOES178 in off-white (also $30).

Shipping/packaging:

Even though Bodyline was having a free air shipping deal, I used EMS because I’m in the process of moving and they wouldn't have come on time otherwise. With EMS shipping the total was $80 and it took about six days to arrive (If it’s any help, I live in the southern USA).

They came in the standard EMS parcel packaging, it was covered in a few nicks and scratches but nothing to be concerned about.

The shoes themselves came in Bodyline shoe boxes. I hear some people complain about never getting shoe boxes, but I've always gotten them from Bodyline. I suppose it just varies.

The shoe boxes were also a different size and color, the larger one was for the off-white shoes and the smaller one was for the brown shoes.

Shots of the shoes:

The brown shoes are by far my favorite, I like the cut a bit better and they just seem to be better made.

I also noticed that the off-white shoes seem to be less durable as a whole, meaning that they take damaged and get scuffed up a lot easier than the brown shoes. I’m not sure if it’s just the color or the style of shoe, but there really is a noticeable quality difference between the two.

The lovely details <3 :

The buckles on the shoes all work well, but the strap
adjustments are a little fidgety (though adjusting the shoe straps is probably only something you’ll have to do once, so it’s nothing to fret about).

Trying the shoes on:

The brown ones (size 255) fit me very well while still being a little roomy for thicker socks. The off-whites (size 260), on the other hand, are too big. I can still wear them, but it can get a bit awkward. I can easily fix that with some insoles though, so no biggie. I find it’s definitely better to have them a little big than a little small.

Overall:

I am very pleased with my purchase, although I must say I love the brown pair best! I just feel that they are more my style and higher quality in general.

While the off-white pair may have a decrease in quality, I still think they are a really cute style and as long as you are careful with them you shouldn't have much trouble.

Bodyline definitely has a great shoe collection in a wide variety of sizes and colors. You really can’t beat their prices when it comes to all the different classic, sweet, gothic, fairy kei and other cutesy j-fashion shoes they offer.

So that’s all for today, I hope this was of help for some of you!

Talk to you soon <3
